Mercedes-Benz: powertrains for Alpine Formula One Team
(CercleFinance.com) - Mercedes-Benz will supply BWT Alpine Formula One Team, Alpine's Formula 1 team, with powertrains from the 2026 season onwards, the Renault Group's sports brand announced on Tuesday.
This new multi-year agreement is to run throughout the new regulatory era of the F1 World Championship, i.e. from 2026 until at least 2030.
In addition to the powertrain, BWT Alpine Formula One Team will also have Mercedes gearboxes at its disposal from the 2026 season onwards.
The team - led by racing drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly - remains determined to achieve top performances in the 2024 and 2025 seasons, BWT Alpine Formula One says in a press release.
