Shell: wins climate case
(CercleFinance.com) - Shell reports that The Hague Court of Appeal has overturned the 2021 ruling of The Hague District Court in a climate case brought against Shell by Milieudefensie, other NGOs and a group of individuals.
We are pleased with the court's decision, which we believe is the right one for the global energy transition, the Netherlands and our company, Shell said.
The goal of becoming a net zero emissions company by 2050 remains at the heart of Shell's strategy and is transforming our business. This includes continuing our efforts to halve emissions from our operations by 2030. We are making good progress in our strategy to generate more value with fewer emissions.
