Infineon: partnership with Stellantis around EVs
(CercleFinance.com) - Stellantis has announced a partnership with Infineon Technologies around power architecture for electric vehicles (EVs).
This aims to support Stellantis' ambition to offer 'clean, safe and affordable mobility for all'.
The companies have signed 'major strategic agreements', notably around the supply of Infineon's PROFETTM intelligent switches, silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors and AURIX microcontrollers.
These agreements are intended to form the basis of a planned collaboration to develop the next generation of energy architecture, says Stellantis.
The partners also intend to set up a joint power laboratory to define the next generation of scalable, intelligent energy architectures, enabling Stellantis' software-defined vehicle.
