Engie: confident about annual targets

(CercleFinance.com) - Engie has confirmed its 2024 guidance, with recurring net profit attributable to the group now expected to be at the top end of its range of E5bn to E5.
6bn, and EBIT excluding nuclear power also expected to be at the top end of its range of E8.2bn to E9.2bn.

For the first nine months of the year, the energy group posted non-nuclear EBIT of E7.1bn, down 11.2% (-11% on an organic basis), and non-nuclear EBITDA of E10.4bn, down 6% (-6.1% on an organic basis).

Sales were E52.6bn, down 14.8% gross and 14.9% organic, although Engie claimed excellent execution in renewable activities with 2.3 GW of new capacity and 7.2 GW under construction.

Engie maintains its leading position in the PPAs market, with 2.6 GW of contracts signed in the first nine months of 2024. Finally, we have continued our growth in the strategic area of electricity infrastructure, adds CEO Catherine MacGregor.
