Bouygues: contract for highway project in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues has announced that a consortium comprising Bouygues Construction Australia, John Holland, Jacobs, Arcadis and Ventia has been appointed to build the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project in South Australia.
The project involves the construction of a 10.5-kilometre, dual three-lane freeway, including sections of tunnel, linking the Torrens area in the north to Darlington, south of Adelaide, to improve the safety and efficiency of motorists' journeys.
Main works will start in 2025, with drilling of the southern tunnels beginning in 2026. It will open to traffic in 2031. Bouygues Travaux Publics' share amounts to over E2bn.
