(CercleFinance.com) - Cement maker Vicat announces that its sales totaled E2,916m in the first nine months of the year, down 1.
5% as reported and up 3.3% LFL and y-o-y.

In detail, LFL sales were -5.6% in France, +3.4% in Europe (excluding France), +6.5% in the Americas, -3.6% in Asia, +32.1% in the Mediterranean and -1.8% in Africa.

In this way, growth in the US and the resilience of emerging markets offset historically low business levels in EUROPE, it said.

Group consolidated sales for Q3 2024 totaled E979m, up +0.7% LFL and down -6.6% on a reported basis, impacted by negative currency trends and an unfavourable comparison basis.

In 2024, the group expects "limited growth" in sales at constant exchange rates, with 2024 EBITDA growth of between 3% and 8%. In addition, its net disbursed capex is expected to be around E325m.

Finally, Vicat has set itself the target of reducing its leverage ratio to below 1.7x by end-2024, and below 1.3x by end-2025.
