BBVA: net income up 26% in Q3
(CercleFinance.com) - BBVA has announced gross revenues of E8716m for Q3, up 10% as reported and 28% at constant exchange rates compared with the same period a year earlier.
EBIT rose 16% to E5,386m, or +40% at constant exchange rates, giving attributable net income of E2,627m, up 26% (+57% at constant exchange rates).
Over 9 months, the banking group posted record net income of E7.62bn, up 44% at constant exchange rates (+28% in current euros).
At the end of September, radio CET1 stood at 12.84%, compared with 12.75% at end-June.
We posted excellent results in the first nine months of 2024, driven by strong business momentum in two key markets for the Group: Mexico and Spain. We are among the top 15 banks in Europe, with a record efficiency ratio of 39%, as well as record profitability, exceeding 20% in terms of ROTE, said BBVA's CEO Onur Genç.
