Safran: invests E1bn in its maintenance network

(CercleFinance.com) - Safran Aircraft Engines is launching an investment plan worth over E1bn to expand its global maintenance and repair (MRO) network to support growth in services dedicated to LEAP engines, which today power around 4,000 modern single-aisle aircraft.

The plan aims to achieve a capacity of 1,200 annual visits by 2028 through the construction of 120,000 m² of new facilities, including sites in Belgium, India, Mexico, Morocco and the extension of two sites in France.

The program also includes the reinforcement of the engine parts repair network and the recruitment of over 4,000 new employees.

Nicolas Potier, Director of the Support and Services Division, emphasizes the importance of training and inter-site synergies to guarantee high standards of quality, safety and environmental performance.
