Eni: walks like an Egyptian with new deals
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni reports that its CEO, Claudio Descalzi, yesterday met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi to review the company's activities in Egypt and discuss possible collaboration opportunities.
The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Karim Badawi, and Eni's Global Natural Resources Director, Guido Brusco, were also present.
Eni reports that discussions focused on Eni's onshore and offshore projects to boost natural gas production, while highlighting Egypt's key role as a gas hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Claudio Descalzi took the opportunity to reiterate Eni's commitment to decarbonisation and greater energy efficiency.
