GE Vernova: commissions power plant in China
(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova announces the commissioning of the Dongguan Ningzhou combined-cycle power plant in Guangdong province, China, with an additional capacity of 2.
4 GW.
This plant, powered by three 9HA.02 gas turbines, adds to the 1.34 GW already supplied by the Huizhou power plant, also equipped by GE Vernova.
Guangdong Energy Group, operator of the site, points out that GE's technology is helping the transition from coal to natural gas, thereby reducing carbon emissions.
China is aiming for carbon neutrality by 2060, and projects like Dongguan Ningzhou are playing a key role in reducing the use of coal in the Greater Bay Area.
