Neoen: builds solar power plant in Ireland
(CercleFinance.com) - Neoen announces that it has signed two turnkey EPC contracts with Omexom for the construction of the Ballinknockane solar power plant in Ireland, and with TLI Group for the construction of the site's 110 kV substation, officially launching the project.
The French company had won the project in 2022, with the solar park benefiting from a CfD (Contract for Difference) mechanism until 2040. The plant's output, initially planned at 61 MWp, has now been increased to 79 MWp.
This solar power plant will be Neoen's first asset to be connected to the Irish high-voltage electricity grid. It will inject its first electrons into the grid in mid-2026, and will be fully operational in H1 2027.
