JCDecaux: new contract in Rio de Janeiro
(CercleFinance.com) - JCDecaux confirms that its subsidiary in Brazil has won the Street Furniture for Information (MUPI) contract in Rio de Janeiro: it will operate at least 225 fully digital MUPIs located in strategic locations across the city.
The 20-year contract will enable JCDecaux, which has been present in Rio de Janeiro since 2016, to extend its activities to all areas of the city, including South Zone neighborhoods such as Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon.
With a population of over six million intramural inhabitants and 12 million in the urban area, Rio de Janeiro is Brazil's most visited city, attracting two million tourists every year, the outdoor advertising group says.
