BNP Paribas: EU approves joint acquisition of Joyn
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of Joyn International ('Joyn') by KBC Bank and BNP Paribas Fortis (BNP Paribas' Belgian bank).
The transaction mainly concerns the retail supply of digital loyalty cards.
The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns, given Joyn's negligible activities in the European Economic Area.
