Alstom: Proxima orders 12 Avelia Horizon trains
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced that it will supply Proxima with 12 Avelia Horizon very high-speed trains and provide 15 years of maintenance on lines along the Atlantic seaboard, an order worth a total of almost E850m.
The first deliveries are scheduled for 2028. Alstom's Avelia Horizon very high-speed train is the latest generation of double-decker train capable of speeds in excess of 300 km/h.
Backed and fully financed by Antin Infrastructure Partners, supported by a consortium of banks, Proxima aims to offer trains serving Bordeaux, Nantes, Rennes, Angers and Paris in two hours or less.
