Stellantis: FCA US sales slump 20% in Q3

(CercleFinance.com) - FCA, the North American subsidiary of Stellantis, reported on Wednesday a 20% drop in US sales in Q3, due to the underperformance of its flagship Jeep and Ram brands.

The automotive giant, which markets six brands across the Atlantic, including Dodge and Alfa-Romeo, said it delivered 305,294 units over the past quarter, compared with 380,563 over the same period in 2023.294 units over the past quarter, compared with 380,563 over the same period in 2023.

In detail, its Jeep brand saw its sales fall by 6% to 144,963 cars over the period, while Ram, known for its full-size pick-ups, saw its sales drop by 19% to 108,925.925.

The only source of satisfaction mentioned in the press release is that FCA reduced its inventory levels by 50,000 vehicles during the quarter, a reduction of 11.6%.

This inventory reduction will lead FCA to continue its current promotional operations on the Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep and Ram brands until the end of the year, the carmaker says.

For the first nine months of the year as a whole, FCA US sales were down 17%, falling back below the million-unit mark to 982,827 units, compared with 1,183,538 a year earlier.
