Air France-KLM: very high-speed Wi-Fi free on board

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France announced on Thursday its intention to gradually offer a totally free, ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi service on board all its aircraft.

The airline, owned by the Air France-KLM group, says it has chosen the Starlink satellite communications system from Elon Musk's SpaceX space company to implement this connectivity, scheduled to come into service from summer 2025.

This new service, which is totally free of charge for non-members of the airline's frequent flyer program, will initially be accessible by logging on to one's Flying Blue account.

It will then eventually be available on all the airline's aircraft, replacing the current service.

With this service, passengers will be able to follow live news, play networked video games and watch streaming movies and series from their smartphones, digital tablets and laptops, with the option of connecting several devices at the same time.
