Eutelsat: chosen by Inmarsat for connectivity at sea
(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat Group has announced that Inmarsat Maritime, a subsidiary of Viasat, has chosen the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) network operated by its subsidiary Eutelsat OneWeb, with a view to integrating it into its fully managed connectivity solution, NexusWave.
Both companies are thus demonstrating their shared ambition to offer connectivity solutions capable of providing every ship, regardless of its geographical distance, with access to broadband services that are both reliable and powerful.
Inmarsat's leadership in maritime communications, combined with our LEO capabilities, is a source of powerful synergies that will serve to set new benchmarks in connectivity at sea, Eutelsat OneWeb said.
