Lindt & Sprüngli: Barclays upgrades stock
(CercleFinance.com) - Barclays has upgraded Lindt & Sprüngli shares from 'equal weight' to 'overweight', with a target price raised from 110,000 CHF to CHF 120,000, believing that in the long term, the group could double its market share in chocolate.
aNALYSTS expect cocoa prices to fall further, due to better cocoa harvests in West Africa, which should alleviate some of the pressure on COGS (cost of goods sold), the broker explains.
According to Barclays, the Swiss chocolate maker is in a position to get the pricing it needs and still generate margin growth at the upper end of its 20-to-40 basis point range.
