AT&T: agreement with Nokia for fiber optics
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has signed a multi-year agreement with AT&T to deploy next-generation fiber access technology to support the expansion and modernization of its extensive network.
Under the terms of the five-year agreement, the Finnish network equipment supplier will provide its Lightspan MF and Altiplano platforms to support one of the world's largest fiber optic networks.
This strategic collaboration agreement, in line with the 'Build America, Buy America' standard, represents an important milestone, laying the essential network foundations for the next generation of broadband services, Nokia says.
