Shell: 10-year LNG supply agreement with BOTAs
(CercleFinance.com) - Shell announces that it has signed an agreement with BOTAs, the Turkish company responsible for the transport and storage of oil and gas in Turkey, to supply BOTAs with liquefied natural gas (LNG) for 10 years from 2027, i.
e. up to 4 billion cubic metres of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year.
This agreement will enable BOTAs to expand its access to LNG, use its infrastructure to diversify Turkey's gas resources and strengthen its position as a regional gas hub.
The contract also includes increased capacity for LNG shipping.
Shell plans to increase its LNG business by 20%-30% by 2030, and to contribute to the energy transition towards low-carbon solutions.
