Pernod Ricard: investment in Almave
(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard has announced the acquisition of a minority stake in Almave, a brand of super-premium blue agave-based alcohol-free spirits, adding a supplementary and innovative brand to its range of premium agave-based spirits.
The first blue agave-based alcohol-free spirit, Almave, distilled in Jalisco (Mexico), was co-founded by seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, Mexican spirits incubator Casa Lumbre and consultancy and investment firm Copper.
Almave is at the crossroads of three major consumer trends: the taste for tequila, the appeal of non-alcoholic spirits and the search for authenticity, Pernod Ricard explains, which will bring the power of its global distribution network to the company.
