Boeing: shares its outlook for aviation in China
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing estimates that by 2043, China's commercial airplane fleet will more than double, from 4,345 to 9,740 aircraft, to meet growing demand for air transport of passengers and freight.
Passenger traffic will grow by 5.9% p.a., making China the world's largest air transport market.
The US aircraft manufacturer estimates that the cargo fleet will almost triple, driven by the growth of e-commerce. Chinese airlines will need $780bn in aviation services, and will have to train some 430,000 new staff.
