Nokia: selected by Claro Argentina for 5G
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has announced that it has signed a global agreement with Claro Argentina to deploy 5G infrastructure throughout Argentina, a deal that will cover the first phase of 5G implementation in the country, reaching its largest cities.
The agreement is part of Claro's strategy to digitize Argentina with reliable, low-latency, ultra-high-speed connectivity for consumers and businesses, the Finnish network equipment supplier said.
It will supply equipment from its AirScale portfolio, including services, to help drive the digital revolution across Argentina, supporting verticals including manufacturing, oil and gas.
Claro will become the first customer in Latin America to deploy Nokia's Interleaved Passive Active Antenna (IPAA+), which tackles the challenge of finding extra space on towers and rooftops to deploy 5G, across its entire coverage area.
