BMW: state-of-the-art paint shop opens in Hungary
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW Group is moving ahead with the construction of its plant in Debrecen, Hungary, by commissioning a state-of-the-art paint shop, the first in the global network to operate without fossil fuels, thanks to technologies such as Power-to-Heat, Heat Grid, and eRTO.
The workshop, designed to paint 30 bodies per hour, reduces carbon footprint and improves energy efficiency.
It also incorporates eco-friendly processes such as dry separation and full digitization, with automated vehicles and artificial intelligence surface inspection.
This site will serve as a model for future BMW plants.
