Eni: sells Nigerian subsidiary NAOC to Oando
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni announces that it has sold its subsidiary Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), specialised in the exploration and production of oil and gas in Nigeria, as well as in power generation, to Oando PLC, a major energy supplier in Nigeria.
This sale, approved by the authorities, is part of Eni's strategy to rationalize its upstream activities and divest itself of non-core assets.
Eni will continue to invest in Nigeria in deepwater projects and via Nigeria LNG, while seeking new opportunities in the agricultural commodities sector.
