Eni: two gas projects approved in Indonesia
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni announced on Friday that the Indonesian authorities had approved the development of two new gas projects in the waters between the islands of Borneo and Sumatra.
The Italian energy company says that the combination of the two fields of Geng North (North Ganal) and Gehem (Rapak) will enable it to create a new production hub in the Kutei basin.
Eni also reports that Indonesia has given the green light for the development of the Gendalo and Gandang (Ganal) fields.
The group explains that it also plans to carry out a drilling campaign over the next four to five years to assess the potential of the blocks it owns in the Kutei basin, whose reserves it estimates could exceed 3,000 billion tons.
