Moderna: Japan approves Covid vaccine update
(CercleFinance.com) - Moderna announces that it has received approval from the Japanese Ministry of Health for an updated version of its COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, Spikevax, which targets the JN.
1 variant.
This vaccine is part of Japan's national vaccination program for 2024/2025, aimed at people aged 65 and over, as well as certain individuals aged 60 to 64.
Vaccinations can be carried out at the same time as the flu vaccine.
Moderna has also signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma to co-promote its respiratory vaccine portfolio in Japan.
