Eiffage: wins contract from TSO Amprion

(CercleFinance.com) - Via its German subsidiary Eiffage Infra-Bau, and in a 50/50 joint venture with the Dutch group De Romein, Eiffage has announced that it has won the partnership contract awarded by the German group TSO Amprion GmbH.

The contract covers civil engineering works for the infrastructure needed to transport electricity from offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the Rhine-Main region in southern Germany.

The project involves the creation of an energy corridor from Lower Saxony to the economic region of Hesse, in the form of a 600-kilometer cable conduit system.

Following a design phase finalized in collaboration with Amprion, the works will be carried out between 2028 and 2032.

On delivery, the corridor will accommodate four transmission lines, each with a capacity of 2 GW.
