ING: nearly 72% of share buyback program completed

(CercleFinance.com) - ING announces that, as part of its E2.
5bn share buyback program announced on 2 May, it bought back over 17.9 million shares last week, at an average price of E15.43, i.e. a total outlay of E276.4m.

These figures mark a slight acceleration in share buy-backs, since in the previous week, the Dutch bank had acquired 16.8 million of its own shares, for a total of E251.6m.

The total number of shares repurchased by ING under its program thus stands at almost 113.1 million to date, totaling just under E1.8bn, or around 71.9% of the program's maximum total value.
