Renault: first deliveries of Symbioz in September
(CercleFinance.com) - Renault announced on Tuesday that the first deliveries of the Symbioz, its new multi-purpose family vehicle, are scheduled for early September.
This compact model, intended to follow in the footsteps of the family "lifestyle cars" in the history of the brand au losange, is positioned between the Captur and the Austral, in the highly sought-after "C segment" of mid-sized cars. This segment accounts for 39% of the European market.
Renault says that, from 2021, it will be launching a major product offensive in the C and D segments, with the launch of seven vehicles by 2025, including Symbioz in the entry-level market.
The vehicle, which is aimed at family customers as well as corporate fleets, is 4.4 metres long and around 1.8 metres wide.
It is powered by the E-Tech hybrid 145 hp engine, which boasts fuel consumption of 4.7 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 105 grams per km, with a range of up to 1.000 kilometres.
Produced at the Valladolid plant, Renault Symbioz - which comes in three trim levels (Techno, Esprit Alpine and Iconic) - went on sale in several European countries in May.
