Boeing: invests in SAF fuel in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing announces that it has invested in Wagner Sustainable Fuels to support the development of a sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) production facility in Brisbane, Australia.
The investment is part of Boeing's strategy to increase local supply of SAF and reduce aviation carbon emissions.
SAF, which reduces CO2 emissions by up to 84% compared with kerosene, is currently little used.
The Brisbane project, supported by Boeing and the Queensland government, will create local jobs, enhance Australia's energy security and contribute to the decarbonization of aviation by 2050, it says.
