Lanxess: sharp reduction in net loss in Q2
(CercleFinance.com) - Lanxess reports a net loss from continuing operations of E16m for Q2 2024, down 89% y-o-y, with EBITDA excluding non-recurring items up 69.

The German specialty chemicals group explains that it benefited from a significant improvement in its cost base thanks to its 'Forward!' action plan, while its sales fell by 5.6% to E1.68bn on lower sales prices.
Also claiming a further reduction in its debt due to improved cash flow, Lanxess confirms its forecasts for 2024 as a whole, including EBITDA excluding exceptional items 10%-20% above the previous year's level.
