Eutelsat: stock down after annual net loss
(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat shares are down almost 2% today following the publication of a net loss of -E309.
9m for 2024 (ended June), pretty much a mirror image of the E314.9m profit announced a year earlier.
However, the satellite operator reports that it has achieved all its annual financial targets, with adjusted EBITDA of E697.5m and sales from operating activities of just under E1.27bn.
At 30 June the order book stood at E3.9bn, compared with E3.4bn a year earlier, with the contribution of OneWeb more than offsetting the natural erosion of the backlog, particularly in the video segment, in the absence of major renewals.
For FY 2025, Eutelsat expects sales from its four operating activities to be at the same level as in 2024, at constant exchange rates and consolidation scope, with its adjusted EBITDA margin slightly lower.
