InterContinental: H1 adjusted EPS up 12%
(CercleFinance.com) - InterContinental reports total H1 sales of $2,322m, up 4%.
Adjusted EBIT amounted to $535m, up 12%, giving adjusted EPS of 203.9 cents (+12%), boosted by significant margin expansion and the return of excess capital through share buybacks.
RevPAR growth (+3% in H1) accelerated in Q2 (+3.2%), reflecting a strong rebound in the US in Q2 (+3.3%). RevPAR even reached +7.5% in H1 in EMEAA.
Our cash generation and strong balance sheet continue to support further investment in growth, and we are confident that we can capitalise on our size, leading positions and attractive long-term demand drivers in our markets, management said.
