Amazon: Jefferies remains positive after quarterly results
(CercleFinance.com) - Jefferies maintains its 'buy' recommendation on Amazon shares with a new TP of $225, the day after quarterly results that saw AWS further accelerate its growth while other segments slightly missed expectations.
While it acknowledges strong enterprise demand for Cloud and AI, it notes that consumers, while increasingly choosing to buy from Amazon, are taking cheaper items and spending less on higher-priced discretionary items.
Overall, however, analysts expect Amazon to gain market share in retail even in a slow macro environment, and to continue its rapid growth in AWS and advertising.
