Crédit Agricole: slight decline in quarterly underlying NI

(CercleFinance.com) - Crédit Agricole SA reports underlying net income (group share) down 1.
5% to E1.82bn for Q2 2024, despite underlying gross operating income edging up 1% to E3.16bn.

Also on an underlying basis, its cost/income ratio deteriorated by 2.6 points to 53.2%, as the 12.4% rise in operating expenses to E3.59bn outstripped the 6.7% rise in revenues to E6.75bn, with dynamic activity in all business lines.

The very good quarterly and half-yearly results confirm the prospect of a 2024 result one year ahead of Crédit Agricole SA's Ambitions 2025 plan, management said.
