BBVA: H1 2024 NP up 29% at E4.99bn

Operating profit exceeded the E10bn mark for the first time in a six-month period (E10.59bn, +39% y-o-y).
The group posted a record attributable net profit of E4.99bn in H1 2024, up 29% y-o-y (37% in constant euros).
Q2 was also the best in the bank's history, with earnings of E2.79bn, up 38% y-o-y (37% in constant euros)
EPS for the quarter rose at an even faster pace, reaching E0.47, or 42% in current euros.
At end-June, the fully loaded CET1 equity ratio stood at 12.75%.
