WPP: Philip Jansen appointed Board Chairman
(CercleFinance.com) - WPP has officially appointed Philip Jansen, former CEO of British telecommunications operator BT, as its next Board Chairman.
Philip Jansen, who will receive an annual remuneration of £575,000 (E675,000) for his role, will join the advertising group's Board on 16 September before taking over as Chairman on 1 January 2025, replacing Roberto Quarta.
After stints at Procter & Gamble and Sodexo, Philip Jansen was CEO of Worldpay, a payment technology specialist whose IPO he successfully led.
He then became CEO of BT Group between 2019 and February 2024.
