SLB: to be delisted from Paris Bourse
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday evening, SLB announced its intention to delist from Euronext Paris in the near future, due to excessively low trading volumes on the Paris market.
The oil services group - which had previously withdrawn from its other listings - justifies its decision by the excessive costs, administrative constraints and time involved in maintaining a dual listing.
The former Schlumberger, which has French roots but has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 1962, states in a press release that its delisting from the Paris stock exchange will take effect on 19 August.
The group adds that it intends to maintain its listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker 'SLB'.
