Michelin: 1st half net income of ?1,163 million

2% on the same period of 2023 (-3.1% excluding currency effects).
Operating income from the sectors reached 13.2% of sales, compared with 12.1% in the first half of 2023, buoyed by changes in the mix and operating expenses. It stood at E1,782 million, versus E1,704 million at June 30, 2023.
EBITDA for the sectors came to 2.8 billion euros, or 20.4% of sales, up 1.6 points on the first half of 2023. Net income came to 1,163 million euros, compared with 1,220 million euros in the first half of 2023.
The 2024 guidance is maintained: operating income from the Sectors in excess of 3.5 billion euros at constant exchange rates, and free cash flow before acquisitions in excess of 1.5 billion euros.
