Alstom: E4bn contract in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announced on Wednesday that it had won a E4bn contract to supply and maintain 90 suburban trains for the Cologne rail network (Germany).
In a press release, the French equipment supplier emphasized that the agreement with the S-Bahn network is one of the largest contracts ever awarded in Germany for urban mobility solutions.
It includes the delivery of 90 'Adessia Stream' trains and their associated maintenance for a period of 34 years.
On the stock exchange, Alstom's share price lost about 2% on Wednesday morning, following last night's publication of Q1 2024/2025 results which analysts deemed 'a little weak', particularly in terms of orders.
