Orange: EBITDAaL up slightly in H1
(CercleFinance.com) - Orange has reported net profit (group share) of E0.
28 per share for H1 2024, compared with E0.30 a year earlier, and EBITDAaL up 2.5% (on a comparable basis) to E5.51bn, in line with its full-year target.
In Q2 alone, the telecoms operator reported EBITDAaL of E3.11bn on sales of E9.99bn, up 2.6% and 0.9% respectively on a comparable basis.
These results remain driven by the remarkable performance of activities in Africa and the Middle East and by the solid improvement in EBITDAaL in Europe, including France, where EBITDAaL stabilised in the first half of the year, management explains.
Orange thus confirms its targets for FY 2024, including a slight increase in EBITDAaL, and says that it will pay an interim dividend of E0.30 in cash on 5 December, out of a dividend of E0.75 per share to be proposed in 2025 in respect of the current financial year.
