Rolls-Royce: inaugurates a test rig at a NASA site
(CercleFinance.com) - Rolls-Royce has announced the inauguration of a 'unique' test site dedicated to outdoor hydrogen gas turbine testing at NASA's Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, in partnership with easyJet.
This will be Rolls-Royce's 3rd test rig at NASA Stennis, extending a decades-long collaboration with NASA.
This program aims to develop technologies to meet the growing demand for energy while achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Tests will focus on integrating the technologies required for 100% hydrogen operation on a modified Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engine, with engineering expertise from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
