Airbus: Royal Bhutan Airlines to acquire 5 aircraft
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced that Drukair - Royal Bhutan Airlines, the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bhutan, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the acquisition of 3 A320neo and 2 A321XLR aircraft to expand its international network.
Delivery of the new aircraft is scheduled for 2030.
The airline plans to fly these aircraft from Paro International Airport and the new Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) airport, designed to become Bhutan's futuristic economic center.
From there, Drukair will extend its connectivity to Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia.
