Boeing: Korean Air plans to buy up to 50 wide-body aircraft

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced that Korean Air intends to acquire up to 50 wide-body aircraft, comprising 20 777-9 and 20 787-10 models, with options for a further 10 of the larger 787 Dreamliner variant.


The airline intends to leverage the efficiency and versatility of these wide-body aircraft to enhance its fleet, while adding flexibility to its global network in anticipation of its merger with Asiana Airlines.

These new aircraft will enhance passenger comfort and operational efficiency, while significantly reducing carbon emissions, supporting our long-term commitment to sustainable aviation, Korean Air said.
