Vivendi: stockmarkets selected for 3 companies to demerge

(CercleFinance.com) - Vivendi reports that its study to date has demonstrated the feasibility of its demerger project under satisfactory conditions, and has identified the most appropriate stockmarkets for the three companies once separated.

Canal+ would be listed on the London Stock Exchange to reflect its international dimension, notably in the context of the ongoing merger with MultiChoice, while remaining a company domiciled and taxed in France.

Havas, the majority of whose activities are carried out internationally, would be listed as a joint stock company under Dutch law (NV) on the Euronext Amsterdam market, which has already supported the success of UMG.

Finally, a company called Louis Hachette Group, which would group Vivendi's publishing and distribution assets, would be listed on Euronext Growth in Paris, in line with the continued listing of its Lagardère subsidiary in Paris.
