Siemens: new order for Vectron locomotives in Switzerland
(CercleFinance.com) - The Swiss company SBB Cargo International, in cooperation with Südleasing, has ordered 20 additional Vectron multi-system locomotives, equipped with the XLoad system for Switzerland.
The locomotives will be leased by SBB Cargo International to SüdLeasing under a long-term contract with a flexible term.
The contract also provides for the locomotives to be maintained by Siemens Mobility for 15 years.
Thanks to the expansion of its fleet and the increased transport capacity offered by XLoad, our customer will be able to serve the Alpine region even more efficiently, Siemens said. This order brings the number of Vectons sold in Switzerland to 180.
