American Express: raises EPS target range for 2024
(CercleFinance.com) - On the occasion of its quarterly publication, American Express raised its EPS target range for FY 2024 to between $13.
30 and $13.80, from $12.65 to $13.15 previously, for revenue growth that is still expected between 9% and 11%.
The payment solutions group posted Q2 EPS that jumped 44% to $4.15 as reported, boosted by an after-tax gain on the sale of Accertify, without which its adjusted EPS rose 21% to $3.49.
Net interest expense reached an all-time high of $16.3bn, up 8% on higher net interest income, increased cardholder spending and continued strong growth in card fees.
