Ubisoft: quarterly net bookings beat target
(CercleFinance.com) - Ubisoft has announced a 12% increase in IFRS15 sales to E323.
5m for Q1 2024-25, as well as an 8.3% increase in net bookings to E290m, ahead of its target of around E275m.
The quarter was marked in particular by the launch of XDefiant, which is off to an encouraging start, as we continue to grow the audience at a steady pace, says co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot.
More broadly, the video games publisher boasts robust engagement metrics, driven by Game-as-a-Service (GaaS) franchises, as well as an important upcoming line-up with Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Ubisoft therefore confirms its annual targets of solid growth in net bookings, a slight increase in non-IFRS operating income and a rise in non-IFRS cash flow, leading to positive free cash flow.
