Air Liquide: Cryocap LQ selected by Stockholm Exergi
(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide announces that its innovative CO2 liquefaction technology, Cryocap LQ, has been selected by the city of Stockholm's energy supplier to contribute to its Bioenergy with Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage (BECCS) project.
Under the agreement signed with Stockholm Exergi, the group will supply technology and equipment for the project, which will be built in an existing biomass heat and power plant in Stockholm.
The Cryocap LQ CO2 liquefaction unit supplied by Air Liquide will be one of the largest in the world. The BECCS facility aims to liquefy and sequester around 8 million tonnes of biogenic CO2 over the first ten years of operation.
